• The CGAK :

​

The CGAK, or The Commitee's General Assessment of Knowledge, is a standardized general knowledge test open to all high school students. This test is entirely independent of any foreign organization, guaranteed anonymous, and free. It consists of four parts as follows:

​

1. Part 1: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) - Duration: ~ 10 min, Number of questions: 10

2. Part 2: Answer True or False - Duration: ~ 10 min, Number of questions: 10

3. Part 3: Respond with a complete answer - Duration: ~ 15 min, Number of questions: 17

4. Part 4: Responding in writing - Duration: ~ 20 min, Number of questions: 2

Specificities :

​

• The different parts of the CGAK are independent of each other.

• The questions in Part 1 have only one correct answer.

• Some questions in Part 3 have more than one correct answer.

• The essays in part 4 should not exceed 10 lines, in which the candidate briefly answers the questions asked.

• All CGAK questions are worth 1 point each, except for part 4, where each question is worth 15 points.

• The CGAK P:

​

The CGAK P, is a variant of the normal CGAK, where there is only one 30 min test. It is also a standardized general culture test open to all high school students. The one and only component of this test is:

• Part 1: Context determination - Duration: ~ 30 min, Number of questions: 3

The three questions consist of three extracts from press articles, some information of which will have been deleted. You will then be asked to find any of the missing information through knowledge of world news.

Specificities :

​

• Said press articles will not exceed three months of seniority on the date of the test.

• All extracts will be taken exclusively from French newspapers.

• However, the extracts will not be fully "sterilized", some key details will still be slipped into the texts.
